The Best Planners for College and School
My collection of the best planner for college and school! As a senior in college, I have tried many agendas and planners. There are different colors, prices, and designs. Each one of them serves a different purpose or you can modify them to serve your needs. I buy my planners at T.J.Maxx, Marshalls, Target, or Walmart. If I find the planner online, I will link it the planner’s title.
Here is an updated list of the best school planners for college students (2018 – 2019).

large planner (a similar version of this planner)
I love larger planners because you can fit a printable, a to-do list, and/or you can write as xtmuch as you want without the fear of running out of space. This planner has a hard cover, which is awesome for students that carry a lot of things in their backpacks.

This planner is a 2016-2017 calendar.
If you tend to make a lot of mistakes when you write and hate using or wasting white out, I recommend that you invest in erasable pens.
Here is an example of how I write in my planner with the eraisable pens: I try to separate my school to-dos from my every day’s to-do list.

Here is an example of how erasable pens can make a huge difference in a planner. Not only does it helps you keep a planner neat and organize, it doesn’t damage the page or leave marks like using whiteout.

2. Large Planner #2: Orange Circle Studio 17-Month 2017
This planner has a plastic cover, which is awesome if you love putting stickers on notebooks or agendas.
The front cover is protected with a plastic cover.
This planner comes with the most common stickers: doctor’s appointment, due dates, reminders, meetups (coffee), birthdays… e.t.c.
The best thing about this big planner is how much you can write on it. I can easily write all my assignments for August and still have extra space to write other things.
I love when I can see two weeks at the same time. I can see all my current assignments and my upcoming assignments. This planner has built in lines in the week that way I don’t have to worry about writing crooked or side-ways.
This is awesome! I almost never see a planner with a pocket on the back. This is great for those of us who love carrying large sticky notes or we a paper that needs to be filed later.
3. Medium size planner #1:
Out of all the planners that I own this one is my favorite! The layout of it is amazing, beautiful, elegant, and simple.
The month’s squares are big enough to write several assignment’s due dates. On the right side, there is a notes section.
I love this layout because it reminds me of my bullet journal. On the left side of the page I write everything related to school. On the right page, there is a divider between notes and weekly to-dos.
Here is an example of how I set-up this page: I list the school stuff from most important (top) to the least important (bottom)
I often change my mind when I finish writing or drawing something on my planner. I decided that physics was more important than statistics. I erased those two categories and wrote them in the correct order.
4. Medium planner #2: Just Right Monthly Planner
This planner is thin, which is awesome for any backpack or purse.
The month boxes are big enough to write due dates.
At the back of the planner, there are several pages that you can detach.
Here is an example of how I use the detachable pages of this planner. I try to keep the same school layout for all my planners.
This is where an erasable pen comes handy, there is only a limited amount of pages at the back of the planner, around 6.
On the back, there is a pocket.
5. Small planner #1: Clementine paper inc
This planner is cute, girly, and small. It has a little bit of the bullet journal layout.
The best part about it is how much information you can put in it. It is divided it into several categories.
The schedule or school section is fantastic!
The only downside of a small planner is that you can only write so much in it. Here, the month calendar is small.
You can customize some of the pages in the back:
The week section has lines, which makes writing easier and less messy.
Big versions or similar versions of the planner above:

6. Flat small planner #2:
I love how simple this planner is, the only thing that stands out is the front cover.
The pages are black and white:
This planner doesn’t have the weekly section, but it has a couple of blank pages in the back. If you are wondering, I bought this planner at T.J.Maxx.
7. Small planner #3:
Here is another small planner. This one is not as plain as the one before but it is small enough room to fit all your school assignments.
It doesn’t open flat, like the previous planners. That’s the only reason why I put it at them bottom of the list. You can find it at T.J.Maxx or Marshalls.

I like one of those big planners – with two pages for each day 🙂
Awesome list! I am also a huge planner lover, but I had never thought about using an erasable pen! Genius!
I found it at TjMaxx
Where did you get the first large one?
The white one (my favorite one as I mentioned it on the blog post)? I found that one at TJMaxx. I have seen it at Marshalls too!
Hello, I noticed that the 3rd medium size planner does not have a link to a similar or to that version of planner. Do you remember what brand it is or where I can find one similar to that one? Thank you for the help.
So many great options for back to school. Really loving the Clementine planner.
Thank you so much for sharing these! I’ve been looking to update my planner game, and this comes in super handy. Have you had any experience with Filofax or something similar?

I love planners and everything school supply related. Haha. That’s why I clicked through to your post. I use Erin Condren planners. They are a bit more expensive, but fully customizable. My name is on it and there are some nifty add-ons you can get. Next one I order, I will be adding some. It is a serious life saver!
I’ve seen the Erin Condren planners and they look so beautiful, but they are pricey. I like the ones that include the little stickers.
I love planners! These are all so cute!!
These are all super cute! My little sister just graduated HS and is heading to college. I just got an Erin Condren (I’m a super planner) and was debating getting her one as well. But this is a good idea to check out stores like TJ Maxx first. Thanks for sharing!
