September Bullet Journal Themes
Let’s start with one of my favorites by zaulemnotes. When I think of fall, the first thing that comes to my mind is my bike crushing the dried autumn leaves on the floor while the cold breeze of the season strokes my face.
The phrase on the left side of the page says “I was born to flourish” 🌷💐💜
Next, let’s fall in love with some beautiful autumn spreads. If you haven’t had a chance, please scroll through journalbykim‘s Instagram page. She has some of the most beautiful and colorful spreads I have stumbled on. She stopped sharing in 2021, but her bujo spreads are a constant inspiration.
Now here is how you can incorporate the style on a calendar or a weekly spread. If you are scared of messing up the designs, stickers are another great option! Etsy and Amazon have a great variety that will not disappoint.
The cover page below is a great example of a spread that you can turn into a mood tracker, habit tracker, or monthly log. You can never go wrong with falling leaves. Replace the word “September” in the middle of the page with a quick mood tracker or habit tracker guide.
raesdailypage is another page that I love browsing! I love the pastel colors she uses with the cursive words. Besides stickers, using washi tape to hold images or to emphasize a section in the planner is another way to create an elaborate layout.

Another option is to use the washi tape to emphasize headers. For example, look at the image below. Noticed how the frida.creates uses highlighters to bring color and attention to certain sections of the planner. Instead of a highlighter, you can experiment using washi tape and use a gel pen to write on top of it. Remove the washi tape and write the same title or a different one with a different style.
My favorite pens to create bullet journal headers and titles are the midline brush pens and Tombow brush pens! Keep in mind that the milliners have two versions, one is a highlighter and the other is a brush pen. You can purchase the brush pen and use it to create titles and highlight your notes.

For my black and white color lovers, here is a simple and elegant spread by leelajournals and thejournallife. They are two different September bullet journal themes that can be a great transition into the Halloween or October month since they have that elegant and spooky touch.
I have two fun and unique mushroom theme spreads that you are going to love! The first one incorporates a dream with the moon and clouds.
The next mushroom theme includes a quote on the left page and a beautiful design on the right page.

This spread reminds me of the Guardians of the Galaxy. I think it would be fun to create a retro-monthly spread using a cassette, disc, and other elements from the 90s.
On this September bujo theme blog post, I tried to include spreads that are very common for fall and some spreads that are different. I hope you draw inspiration from each spread to create something unique and fun.
