Why the Title: “Life is Messy & Brilliant”

Many years ago I watched a show about a beautiful woman that was fighting cancer. During the whole show, I was mesmerized by her beauty, determination, and love for life. She had a way of talking that captivated me. Out of all the things she said, the words that got stuck in my brain were: “Life is messy and Brilliant.” I wish I could remember the show or her name to give her the proper credit for her words, but since I couldn’t find her on the internet. I keep those words close to my heart.

Every time something happens in my life (good or bad) I remind myself that life is just like that messy, beautiful, and brilliant at times.
